Weekly Tarot Reading - 9/26/2022

Since I'm going to be busy tomorrow, I decided to go ahead and do this reading today. I want to look at what's going on with the Nordstream II pipeline. Here I'm going to ask 2 questions:

• What happened to the Nordstream II pipeline?
• Follow-up: Was it actually sabotaged?

Question: What happened to the Nordstream II pipeline?

First off, what struck me here is the lack of cards indicating Black Hats or some kind of subterfuge. What's also interesting is the presence of pentacles in the reading. So, let's begin.

6 of Cups: In this reading, I'm the querent, so this is me asking this question. I'm coming from a place of optimism and hope. Look at all the hobbits having their party before the grand adventure whisks them off their feet. They have no idea what's about to unfold. (Boy is that the truth.)

4 of Pentacles: The Nordstream II pipeline represents something that is old that we're clinging to. It's an old pattern that is "safe", and humanity is clinging to it like it's their only option. See Gollum clinging to his Precious?

6 of Swords: In the recent past, the pipeline was actually moved to safety. Whatever gas was provided by the pipeline has been diverted or replaced.

Death: Now, this natural gas line in is in the process of being transformed into something new. This old way of doing things is going away very slowly, but hope is in the distance.

Temperance: We are going to see this change complete, but in Divine timing. What comes next is something healing, but it requires patience before it comes online.

Page of Wands: What comes next is a new way of doing things, and it's something we will need to learn about.

2 of Pentacles: Until we get there, however, we're going to be juggling the old system and the new system at the same time. This is where the patience comes in.

8 of Wands: The rupture of the pipeline means more changes are coming and very quickly. It's just one of MANY events taking place all at once.

10 of Pentacles: (I love that this card is illustrated the way it is for this reading.) All of these changes are leading to the complete dismantling of everything that the Old Guard represented. Just look at the Tower of Baradur collapsing in the background, and EVERYONE is watching it happen in real-time.

Question: Was it actually sabotaged?

This was a quick yes/no question. For yes/no questions, I have an agreement with my decks. Major Arcana and Aces mean "Yes"; everything else means "No". It doesn't matter what card appears, though sometimes, God has funny ideas about which card to draw as the yes or no.

6 of Coins: No.

The 6 of Coins is about balance between giving and taking, especially when it comes to physical resources, which is what we're discussing here.

If we wanted to look at the card in context, this would be "No, this was part of creating balance with physical resources."
