New Age Problems: Lower Thyself

I got a bone to pick here. After being on Earth and being in the thick of a spiritual awakening and now looking back with a bit of distance, I see that there is a big issue in the spiritual communities on Earth. I call it the “Lower Thyself” mentality, distorting the phrase carved on Apollo’s temples: “know thyself”.

By the way, Apollo, whoever you were, legendary phrasing. Very efficient.

Lower Thyself. I see it everywhere. There’s this belief in the New Age movement, and those influenced by it, that one must not have any ego at all in order to be enlightened. That one must be of Service to Others only. That any kind of negative emotion is shameful and “low vibe”. That to be a “lightworker” means endlessly healing oneself, never resting, and most of all—only concerning oneself with the good of the collective. Finally, that all these wonderful galactic beings surrounding the planet assisting humanity are untouchable, perfect, godlike beings that must be worshipped. (And don’t you ever think about them being just your family. They’re too “evolved” for such trivial matters.)

All of this to which I ask… Who the fuck is seeding this rank bullshit?

I shall examine this point by point. Because that’s how much these sets of beliefs irritate me that I’m willing to go Sherlock Holmes on this topic.

Egolessness

Being enlightened doesn’t mean you don’t have an ego. It means you have made peace with it, accept it as a part of you, and love it for its primary function. The ego’s primary function is to make sure your physical body is kept alive and intact. That is a very vital function if you possess a physical body. You cannot live long in the physical without an ego.

Further, it is a gross imbalance to the soul to not even give your incarnated self the time of day. Yes, you are the soul. You are also your incarnated self, and that self has an ego that individuates it into the “I”. It’s how you can be physical in the first place!

Service to Others Only

Just like abandoning your ego’s existence within you causes an imbalance, so too does adopting a Service to Everyone-but-Me mentality. As if you yourself are somehow worthless and do not deserve service from your own self.

Not true. The fact of the matter is, the only one who can truly serve you, love you, and be there for you in exactly the way you need…IS YOU! You are the only one who can do it 100% correctly. Nobody else can do that for you and it’s unfair to expect anyone else to do so.

Yes, you can have unconditionally loving relationships. They exist. They really do. But at the end of the day, the only way that works in a healthy manner is if you love yourself so much you gift that unconditional love to you, through you, and then to others. It has to flow from your overflow of love for yourself for unconditional love to work correctly. Otherwise, you end up in people-pleasing habits and codependent relationships.

And in order to have the energy required to optimally serve others, you must first fill your own cup. Everyone else gets the overflow. They do not get the energy from your cup. That’s for you. Because when you’re filled up to the brim, your energy is even more potent.

Lower Vibration Emotions = Bad

This one hurts to witness. Watching starseeds and otherwise spiritual people shame themselves for having the full range of emotions is just sad to see. They should NEVER shame themselves for having an emotion. It is their beautiful gift from Source.

First off, if you're a Lyrian (human--space or otherwise), a full range of emotions is baked into who you are. It's part of your template. It's why you are extremely powerful creator beings. I have heard this saying, "Emotions are energy in motion" and I really like it. Yes. Emotions are energy in motion. Knowing your emotions, feeling them, and directing them with your attention and focus is the most powerful part of being a Lyrian. It's what makes us master manifesters.

Just look at Earth. Seriously! Look at Earth. That nightmare that's there right now...that's a Lyrian creation. That's how powerful we are. We can make things like this happen, and if we can create such richness using darkness, which is like sludge and difficult to even get moving. Think of what we can create using light.

And no, light does not mean "happiness" or joy or bliss. It's not an emotion. Light is awareness. Light is what happens when you go through the darkness. That's how you get to light. Not from shoving your own shadows and darkness away like it's bad or wrong or evil. It's not. That's a fast track way to turn your darkness into more darkness, because you're pushing it away from awareness.

Even lower vibrating emotions serve a special purpose. Sometimes a beautiful one. And as a soul who is prone to melancholy, I could write you a full-blown 1000-page treatise on the beauty and romance of sorrow.

Lightworkaholism

I see this also. A reluctance to rest. The feeling of needing to be healing constantly. Or doing shadowwork constantly. Or serving others constantly. Putting energy into this grid, that leyline. This is codependent behavior directed toward the collective.

You. Are. Not. A. Slave. Stop.

How about instead of being a "lightworker", try on "lightbe-er". Just be it for a change. Don't do anything. Just be the light, which means being yourself in total. Ugly emotions, shadows, light, pretty emotions...all of it. Be it. All of it. Love all of it.

90% of the "work" any starseed does is just with their natural vibration. Which means you don't have to do anything most of the time other than be yourself in total. Love yourself in total. Because that's what raises your vibration. Not all the other stuff. Loving yourself in total is what does it. Everything else stems from this.

Stellar People as New Age Gods

This one is tricky, because I understand how this happens. You're a starseed on Earth, you've forgotten how awesome you are as a soul. You've forgotten your stellar family hand-picked you to go, because you're a special ops commando soul who can do this shit blindfolded with one arm tied behind your back while wearing cement shoes. You forget all about that, and the glamor of space blinds you. It's just so amazing, because you remember on one level how happy you were as part of your stellar civilization and Earth's matrix has a tendency to distort illusions to the maximum. It also has a tendency to make you feel like you're a worthless pile of crap, which is most of the problem.

So, when you begin to remember, you're blinded. This should be temporary, I think. I think it happens to everyone to a degree. Everyone gets a little flash-blinded when they start remembering where they came from and compare it to Earth. Because the contrast setting on Earth is cranked so high, they broke the knob. So anything light is really bright, and anything dark is really dark.

However, I still see this habit get ingrained in people of seeing their stellar families as godlike or perfect. Of seeing "ascended masters" as better than them. Of pretty much worshipping gods and goddesses without realizing it. This is something that felt icky to me even on Earth. It's something that just never felt right. It felt way too much like religion. And what made it especially sad is it prevented starseeds from connecting to their stellar families. It kept them from reaching out to their soul's best friends, lovers, sisters, brothers, children, parents. All those people that they've incarnated with over and over, if they aren't on Earth, it's a fair bet they're in orbit. Or at least somebody they know would be.

But so many times they wouldn't reach out, because they didn't feel "worthy". They felt "lower" than their own family members. (Even I struggled with this. Earth, it's one hell of a place to deal with self-worth issues.) When that's not the case. They were so worthy, their own families were waiting for them to reach out. All of you out there in the exosphere and beyond, tell me this isn't the case. Set the record straight if I'm incorrect here. I'm fairly sure I'm on the mark.

Never lower yourself. You aren't lower. There isn't a lower. It doesn't exist.
